recently, i set out to find some calming and easy games i can use to de-stress and pass time. originally, i found the first loop game and i loved that i could even play it on my watch. (although my fat fingers made it very hard to play on watch) i found this one and i think i like it 10x more! the hex design makes it unique but also pretty. the simple, flat design makes it a lot easier to focus on the puzzle.
the complaints about the ads are understandable, but i think it varies person to person because i don’t get many and i play this game for long periods of time in one sitting. even still, this is a FREE app that (according to the app) is supported by only 2 developers. how do you expect them to make enough money to keep the game afloat while still making profit?
in conclusion, i love this game and i’ll be playing it for a very long time. it’s calming, simplistic, and just overall beautiful. 100% recommend if you’re looking for a calming game you can forget how long you’ve been playing.

I originally found this app on a website that listed apps for neurodivergent (ADS and ADHD specific) people. It was said to be calming to the mind but kept your attention. This website was SO RIGHT.
Some of the biggest reasons why I love this game:
- The game can be started and stopped at anytime
- No timers or sense of urgency
- It can be played while doing other activities like watching tv, research/studying, eating, listening to an audiobook, etc
- It can be hard but mostly isn’t for those who can solve puzzles easily
- There are enough color contrasts to make it was to play with the screen brightness turned all the way down…but not enough to make it hard on the eyes
- SO MANY LEVELS that I’ll be playing this game for a very long time
I don’t know if the intention of the creators was to appeal to the neurodivergent crowd, but I have to thank them for making this game. It has helped me immensely when I feel anxiety or panic coming on. And it’s a delight to help calm my brain before bed.
10/10 would recommend. And don’t forget to toss the devs a little money to remove the ads. It’s worth it, I promise.

This is a neat little game that helps users take a mental break when they need one, and very well done with a nice, clean UI. I can think of a couple improvements, however, that would earn this app a fifth star from me. 1. Currently the app uses light colors while solving and switches to dark upon completion - I’d like to have the option to switch this, as I think the dark is more visually appealing. Long-term, I’d prefer the dark mode for both pre and post solve, with some other visual effect displayed after solving. 2. When making a purchase to get rid of ads, the app isn’t forthcoming about what users get with the various purchase levels besides just no ads. 3. While the app has an annoying habit of crashing on occasion when opening it, I’ve since discovered that if you have airplane mode turned on while playing, this fixes the issue.
