Fashmates - Social Fashion App

Okay, so there are a lot of things that are similar and that is a good thing, if it aims to be the replacement it is pretty darn close, but there are a few things that need to be fixed. My items, won’t let me scroll down past the first page when I am in create a set mode, which defeats the purpose. If I can’t use my items, I can’t create a set. Also the clipping from our own images, it will show on the set, but it won’t show up in my items. Also, there should be more separated categories. We go to jewelry, and it shows every possible type of jewelry, and sometimes I get lost in it. Separate the categories, so we can look for different types in the one section. Also, if you guys can fix the app so that it will work better on iPad, it won’t even turn sideways, and it limits my ability to make the kind of sets I want. And I think once you hit publish, it shouldn’t change the shape of your items in your set. I know it takes time to perfect the app, but it needs more work before I would feel comfortable giving it a better rating.

I’m really surprised how well it works. I do like how I can do my collages. The issues about the app are it crashes, I wish they would add a lot more suggestive items where if you like something then you know on the bottom they would give you more things you may like. The and and save to collections should be in the same category it’s a pain when you looking for someone you like me and you save it in you collection (that’s my opinion). I personally don’t like to us sometimes the models wearing the clothes I like the clothing by itself I find a lot of cute things and I can’t use them because the models whole body is in it’s others pieces of clothing I don’t want and if I see them and crop it to match it with another item I found it looks weird. And maybe adding a lot more clothing lines including maybe a makeup/ hair inspiring looks. Also maybe adding a description bar for the collages/sets what imspired you to craft a look etc.... overall this is just a summary of my thoughts on the app so far I like it and I can manage to maneuver around it hopeful adding more to the future will be beneficial ! Will post in later updates on the app.

This app seems to be in the beginning stages of a good app to replace Polyvore. Clothing selection isn’t as broad. It also only lets you remove the white edges of photos on some of them and sometimes that option deletes all the white- even if it is part of the clothing item- which is annoying. Some of the clothing looks elongated and weird when you add it to the outfit so making a look with it is impossible. The images are so tiny that searching through them is a pain. The layout of the “home screen” is weirdly confusing and when people comment or like your looks you have to select each on individually in order for the notification to go away- annoying if you have 90+ comments or likes that you can see by going to the look. HOWEVER- I am giving it a 4 star rating because all of the above is fixable- especially if the app gets more traffic and developers feel that it is worth the hassle to make corrections. So, give it a shot!
