Brava Home

The oven is great. But the app is barely functional. As others have noted, it’s crazy that there’s no iPad app at this point, and it’s equally insane that they refuse to do the bare minimum to keep it up to date with iOS standards. Brava is a perfect candidate for Live Activities and widgets, but that would require someone to think about the app more than once a century. I just don’t understand why companies think their companion apps aren’t a core part of the user experience.

I’ve written the company multiple times over the last 6 months asking when there will be proper notifications added to the Brava oven. As it is there’s only a pop up banner type notification so if you’re not looking at your iPhone or Apple Watch screen when it pops up you’re not going to be notified. I’ve literally begged for at least a tactile or haptic notification but it wasn’t included in the latest software update. A sound notification would be awesome but it just isn’t happening. The oven itself is okay but overpriced. You will need to rethink how you cook and pretty much without using sauces or marinades. If I had it to do over I wouldn’t have made the purchase.

We’ve been testing this oven and are so happy to finally have the app! It’s been huge inspiration for figuring out dinner and getting it on the table for my family. Didn’t think I would use notifications etc but we are and they’re super helpful. Love being able to watch my food cook in teal time. Can’t wait for more recipes please!
