Love the webcams and information. However the status and tide information never load on my or my spouses phone. Weather comes in ok but the others widgets don't work which is bad because when you get a notification and then go to read the rest of the warning but can't open it in the app because it won't load. Fee calculator doesn't add up or calculate anything... You just click options but no results. If you fix the bugs I'll change to 5 stars. Really enjoy the webcams tho. Maybe it's cause I need to update the iOS my phone but I see others having the issue too.
I got extremely excited when I found out about this app. And for the amount of money they (The City of Kenai) charge you to fish, this project was probably in the budget. Pros: Webcams are great, and so far they have worked great. I have never had a problem getting the live feed from my phone. You will see the occasional seagull fly by for reassurance that it's working. Cons: The summary page never loads completely. The weather box always loads, but the tide table and fish count boxes have never opened. Please fix this and it will be a 1 stop shop app, and I'll increase my 3 stars to 5 stars.
This app is great for anyone who is an avid subsistence fisherman. The live web cams help determine the right time to go and even if it's worth it. The fish counts from previous days are a little behind but I suspect that is because ADF&G is slow to update. Having the summary page show everything you could need when you open up is great, tides, weather and previous day fish counts. Whoever developed this put a great deal of time and effort into accommodating the most common questions someone may have, the webcams are all in perfect locations! Very well done, I love it!
