Survival RPG 1: Lost Treasure

Edit/Update - after beating this game, I was made aware of the other games - 5 stars - great game. Apologies, devs!! The game is great. Aside from some minor changes, like a fuller story, a better crafting system, the game is excellent. Take all the joys of SNES FF games, some survival/crafting mechanics, and you have a fun little game. I feel like an expansion is definitely in order, or a second game; as I don’t have the slightest clue what goes into making a game, I can’t make any major demands of the dev team. The game is very refreshing - if you’re a Minecraft enjoyer, maybe you’ve bought the latest console or PC game, got sick of it and grabbed your pickaxe and sword and started building your 5th castle and simply relaxed - this is how I feel about this - so many games on App Store that either hold your interest for about 3 hours, or have insane space and battery demands, then want money - this game breaks away from that. Give it a shot!

This is one of my favorite game. The game offers some brain teaser and makes you think. The puzzles aren’t too difficult. At a certain point, you may need to grind for materials and food. It is for a long run. The negative part of the game is the control. I played on my iPad and it is quite difficult to move the character because the control pad is too far into the screen. Another negative part is the hint. I didn’t really use the hint. One time I was stuck and checked the hint. It kept saying I need a better armor for dark cave. However, I already passed that point in game. I found out that I need snake skin armor but that when I already beat the game and I got only 97.1%. Then I got back in game and tried something and that when I found out about the armor that I missed but could still progress the game. Even though there are a couple negative parts, overall the game is great and that overcomes those negative parts. I still give this game 5 stars.

I finished the game (both with and without finding the treasure) before writing this, so I know what I’m talking about when I say this is an awesome survival RPG game. It’s not a AAA game or anything, but it’s definitely a great way to kill some time. There’s only one thing I would stress, though. Be careful once you get a metal detector. There’s a very limited amount of ore and you should NOT make anything unless you need to. That’s my only problem with the game; there’s a small margin of error at first with ore, but all it takes is making one too many knives and you’ve soft-locked yourself out of victory. (Unless ores re-appear once a day or something; this game was so addicting that I finished it in less than 24 hours!) (Don’t worry though, that’s the only thing that could screw you over. Any other mistake just means fishing for like 2 minutes or picking up a few more rocks here and there.) But I love how it’s left up to the player to figure out most things (like which enemies are bosses, where everything is, how to advance and unlock better stuff...) especially since there’s no penalty for death except being sent back to your base (unless you choose to watch an ad, of course). Reminds me of The Legend of Zelda for NES a bit. GG.
