Rockford Fosgate PerfectTune

I hate to bash Rockford because I love their amps and will continue to buy them but this app and DSR1 is garbage for Rockford. Just getting the app to connect to the DSR1 is hard enough. My iPhone 8 with the current up to date software wouldn’t work. I had to use an iPhone 6 with an older software just to connect. Constantly throughout tuning the DSR1, making selections to crossovers and such makes the DSR1 freak out and plays high pitched buzzing and screeching sounds through all the speakers and preventing normal audio from playing. Only way to stop it is to disconnect the DSR1 from power and do it all over again. It’s basically useless. Rockford Fosgate is a really big and reputable car audio brand but this product absolutely hurts their reputation. Especially charging over $300 for the DSR1 and connections. They shouldn’t have even thought about releasing this product until all these bugs were worked out.

I’ve owned the DSR1 for over a year now and have seen this app go through some significant improvements over that time. I did have to re-flash the firmware on the unit after the last update, which solved any connection issues that had arisen. I look forward to additional improvements, but overall I’ve had solid experience with the DSR1 and this app.

This processor completely changed the way my stereo produces sound. Amazing product everyone should have one.
