It’s a shame they would make an app for it to not serve its purpose. I got the app to pay my bill from the app and it doesn’t allow you to. I guess the only other options of payment is online with a third party but for a commercial business they charge a $45 processing fee but If you’re residential it’s $3?? Make it make sense! It’s the same electric we’re using. So now I have to go and pay in person bc it seems like that’s the only option to save me from paying that scam of $45. Wish I could give no stars. What a waste of time and money! Get it together HECO, it’s about to be 2025. Get with the times😤

What a shame that a company that provides such good and important service to the community cannot develop an app that is user friendly. I just spent 45 minutes trying to find out and pay my bill - and when I click on the pay your bill link it just keeps sending me back to the online registration page. After doing this several times I gave up. There’s a reason it doesn’t have but 2 1/2 stars. I just moved back to Hawaii from Arkansas and HELCO could learn a lot by seeing how Entergy created their app. Entergy’s app works easily. HELCO’s app does not. It’s almost like the developers at HELCO have not tested their own app.

The idea of an app is great, but only if it functions properly. I created an online account, setting up a user name and password, confirmed both my account number and e-mail address and the app won’t allow me to sign in no matter what I do. It sends me on an endless loop of verification, unidentifiable login information and blocked attempts to reset anything. It’s frustrating and completely useless if I can’t gain access to anything. This is the largest electric utility provider in this state. Your customers deserve better.
