Really reliable for all my timing needs. I like that it counts both up and down (so I know how much time is left but I can also mark in my book things like what minute a goal or card is as issued. It seems to want every match to be entered individually… which would be fine if my assigners system syncd.. but it doesn’t so I end up just using dummy matches for certain game types and resetting them as needed each match. I believe this makes the heat map unreliable and not work for each match.
I have been using the full version of this app for four years. I’ve never really had trouble until I purchased and Apple Watch 8. Now quite frequently the app will reset the match at half time. All goals, time elapsed, and cards are reset. Also, gps map has stopped working as well even though I have repeatedly selected gps map on. Now I only trust the app to count up and down. I do like the elapsed time feature along with a countdown. I only wish there was a setting for NFHS that truly stopped the elapsed time feature as opposed to added time. I have enjoyed using this app but only gave three stars due to my current issues.
I was made aware of SFRef at an AYSO Regional Meeting. It is the best of the referee apps out there. LOVE the feature where I can import games from Arbiter, makes setup a breeze. I personally do not use the foul counter or yellow/red card features, and only use the substitution feature during NPL games. I find it easier to just write that stuff in my wallet, and it looks a little more professional. The time keepeing is amazing though. Easy to set up half length and good vibrations. Easy to understand interface and intuitive stoppage. Great app . Easy 5 starts. Would like to see a halftime timer though.
Run the app independently on the watch - don't need the phone at all, even for configuration. You can also setup a match on the phone and transfer it...
