It’s definitely a SMART SCALE app. Tells you your proposed age health, body type, and other small details that are semi critical. Like for example body fat percentage, pulse heart rate, muscle mass, water intake percentage, even protein percentage like what, and bone mass. Or skeletal mass and others; helpful app/product in really helping to motivate and stay fit in critical points to someone who may not even know in areas of their personal physique. Even the little dash detail added of a virtual 3-D body image of you with adding a set day goal of either gain weight (muscle goal added) or losing weight (bonus of fat percentage goal). Definitely, an app and product one should get to get motivated and (or) to get to keep track of fitness, the smart intelligent way of a self-investment to a better life, like literally.
The old version showed my weight in an easily read font. The new version shows my weight in a much smaller font in a weird goal widget that appears to be some kind of ploy for “engagement”, and in a tiny unreadable font in a graph that only shows the current week and does not scroll. There is button that says “Card Order” where one can change the order and visibility of the “cards” shown on the Home Screen, but this apparently does not apply to the “Goal” card or the “My Weight” card. I like that I can hide the “Explore” and “Calories” cards, but I think there should be a card the shows my weight in a bigger font like the old version of the app, and it should be possible to hide and change the order of all the cards rather than just the two of them. I don’t want to use the goal widget because I don’t need or want coaching on my phone, and I refuse to be sucked into a ploy for engagement. However, I will note it requests weight in pounds and height in centimeters. Both measurements should use the measurement system specified in Settings > General > Language & Region > Measurement System. There is also a “View Report” button that appears to be an attempt to harvest my email address. I won’t be participating in that, so I don’t know what the report looks like. This app is not so bad that I will throw out my scale and look for a new one, and the old version of the app was not as good as it could have been, but the new version of the app is definitely a step in the wrong direction.
This app used to be great. It was a simple interface that let you set a simple weight goal, showed you today’s info, and then access the historical/trend data. Today, it changed to something that’s not what the current preview in the App Store shows. It’s some kind of series of cards and your weight data is hidden in a barely functional menu system. They took away the scale (from the SCALE app) and replaced it with useless features that don’t work. I have historic data still, but it’s all jumbled with my wife’s separate account (wasn’t a problem before) and it says I haven’t weighed in enough to use the trend puzzle piece thing even though I have daily records for the last 20+ days. Additionally, I can’t set just a general weight goal, any more. It’s forcing me to put in all kinds of extra data like a date goal and exercise routines, and dietary data. I don’t need to do that here and don’t want to. I also can’t type in a weight goal number anymore. I have to use their rotating scale interface which is unresponsive and difficult to use. Yesterday, I’d have given 5 stars; today I wish I could give zero. I hate the new app interface. Do not use this if you have a choice.
