Hi y’all. A little context — I’ve struggled with body dysmorphia and anorexia/bulimia my whole life. For me, exercise is the best way to keep those demons in check, and with the pandemic and gyms closing I was extremely depressed and frightened that without an outlet and all the other amazing benefits of exercise, my EDs would flare up again. I’m the type of person who’s tried every workout this and that and hadn’t been able to find an at home program that I could actually stick with consistently, so I was scared and desperate until my best friend introduced me to *drum roll* Natacha! Not only are the workouts paced — one workout, including breaks, takes only 60min — they are manageable, trackable, and varied. I literally have not done the same exercise twice and after 10 weeks, I’m stronger than I could have imagined, physically and mentally. Unlike other apps, Natacha guides you in slowly so you don’t get discouraged — the first week is challenging but MANAGEABLE, so you don’t want to quit after day 1. I love this app, I have so much gratitude for Natacha and I hope this review helps someone to take that step and invest in yourself.
Going to the gym always gave me anxiety, and even when I’d push through it and go, I didn’t really know exactly what to do. I’d often go in without a plan and just do what I was used to and comfortable with and (naturally) wouldn’t see results, and get discouraged. This year for Christmas, I treated myself to both of Kate’s guides and I’ve already started to see results. I love that the app provides you with videos on exactly how to do each workout, a section to track how much weight you lift, and that the app sends you alerts which motivates you to get back to the gym. I never really loved the gym, but this workout guide (currently on #1 but already bought her second one lol) has taught me to push past my comfort zone, stay consistent, be patient, love myself with where I’m at right now, be proud of myself, AND I have started to looooove going to the gym (something I always used to just tolerate). Thank you Kate for creating an amazing guide—it’s brought me confidence, a love for fitness, a love for the gym, and the motivation I needed to stay on track. This guide is TRULY invaluable. 100% worth the investment because it’s an investment in YOURSELF!! It’s been one of the best things I ever did for myself! Thank you x 100! Xoxo
I have always found it difficult to create my own workout plan and stick to it, with the guide I know exactly what I’m doing when I get to the gym and I have no excuses! It pushes your boundaries and it’s fun to see how you progress with each exercise because you can read notes you left on that workout from previously as well as what weights you used. The videos make it super simple to see what you’re doing and you don’t have to google what you’re about to do. I am only 3 weeks in and I feel like my muscles are more pronounced (I am using cut reload). 10/10 would recommend to anyone trying to get their fitness routine sorted! For 6 months of consistently half doing at the gym 5 days a week, going 4 days a week using this program really has made the world of difference! I would say one negative is sometimes mid workout the app crashes and you lose your time stamp and have to renter your workouts, however the weight you were at is still there you just have to tap the buttons again so not a super big deal.
