I wanted to have someone pick up an order on the way home from work So I installed the Selflane app on my iPhone, and used my Apple ID to sign on. I searched and found the restaurant I want to place the order can you do the shopping cart And on submit it comes up with some kind of comment about a lead time? I didn’t notice the payment line being distracted by that information, so then went and installed the payment options, and tried to submit again, with the same message, by the time the person was already on the way to pick up the food and I hadn’t even been able to place the order yet; so, I quickly looked up the phone number of the restaurant. I called and tried to explain that South Lane app wasn’t working right for me and I had to give them my order on the phone, despite the huge amount of background noise, and almost yelling at them, because they could not hear me so well. Needless to say my introduction was not very smooth to your app Looking forward to a smoother transactions in the future 🥹
Order status shows Processing, however, after calling the restaurant the driver had already picked up the order a while before. It would be nice to see instant updates as well as a location of the driver. Our last order took a while to be delivered and our food was cold.
Hello, I appreciate that you are trying to get Albuquerque /NM restaurants some exposure. I hope this review helps you because I want you to be successful, especially now when everyone is using apps to order pick ups etc. However, in going through the restaurants on your app I’ve found that there are missing details on the menus on the self lane app vs. actual menus on websites of the restaurants. For example: I was going to use self lane to order urban pizzeria. However, on the actual urban pizzeria menu listed on their website, the angus burger is listed as coming with fries/onion rings, while on self lane app, this info is not included. I found this to be true with many of the selflane menus on different restaurants; they lack details found on the actual restaurant menus. This may not seem like a big deal to you, but if you want to be successful I suggest your menus on your app match the menus that the restaurants have on their websites. This includes pricing, sides, hours, etc. The menus on selflane are incomplete and lack information. I just ended up calling urban pizzeria to order & not using your app at all because of the lack of detail & my uncertainty. Had I only relied on self lane, I would’ve skipped over urban pizzeria entirely because I do want to know if fries come with an $11 burger. I want your app to help businesses in Albuquerque instead of hurting them if that makes sense, and you can accomplish your mission by paying attention to small details. I’m sure you want to get every restaurant on your app, & I want you to succeed because I believe in what you’re doing. People want to be over informed when it comes to food, not under informed. Thanks
