ITEL is going downhill. The app is slow as heck to log in, often it takes two minutes or more once you put in your login info just to get to the home screen. This wouldn’t be so bad if the app didn’t make you login every time, but it does. There have been some slight improvements in the past year but this is not one of them, it has gotten worse. The app still has problems with UI and in general doesn’t display enough information.

Insurance claims are becoming a race to see who can close a file the fastest. Continuously trying to speed up the process to obtain the necessary information to cut checks. The utilization of this app is now required on certain programs or you will receive a SLF (service level failure) aka a black mark next to your name. This wouldn’t be an issue if the app functioned properly. I understand the app is supposed to be used on site, but not all estimators in a company carry all the specialized tools to utilize the app. To be specific, one photo that is required is a picture of the flooring where it was originally installed. Unless you open up the app, type in all the claim information, snap a picture, then close the app and wait until you get back to your office or car to start the process of sending sending in a request for a report you just can’t get this picture. Easy fix - allow the app to access photos. All in all, functionality and ease of use is not there. I will continue to use the mail in option as much as I can and make due with this app when I absolutely have to.

This app is absolutely useless. The flooring repair kit is junk, I get less than 20% success in getting the sample priced in the field. Will wait 30-45 minutes only to have it come back that the sample needs to be sent in. The roofing repair report is absolutely ridiculous. I have yet to get a report back on a black shingle that states the roof is not repairable. I regularly het reports back stating a 20 year 3 tab shingle that is 18-20 years old is repairable. I live in a high desert area with low humidity, the shingles dry out and become brittle after 12-15 years. It appears this company has went way down hill, service is horrible.
