If you’re considering using Fluid Trucks for your rental needs, think again. My recent experience with this company has been nothing short of a nightmare, highlighting their dishonest business practices and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I booked a truck well in advance, securing a rate of approximately $1,167. All seemed well until the company canceled my reservation. A customer service representative named Gonzalo assured me via email that they would have more vans available at the beginning of August and promised that my replacement vehicle would be at the same standard rate. However, August arrived, and I heard nothing from them until several days into the month. When they finally did reach out, the vans they offered were nearly double the original cost. This bait-and-switch tactic left me outraged. When I contacted customer service to ask why they had reneged on their promise, I was met with a dismissive response, claiming there was nothing they could do and citing "peak pricing" as the justification. This blatant disregard for their commitments and the subsequent price gouging is the most frustrating and dishonest thing I’ve encountered from a company. Fluid Trucks not only failed to deliver on their promise but also displayed a shocking lack of accountability and transparency. In conclusion, beware of Fluid Trucks. Their dishonest practices and poor customer service make them an unreliable choice. Save yourself the frustration and find a more trustworthy company for your rental needs.UPDATE: Fluid has since reached out to me and rectified the situation. Thanks
Honestly I’ve tried them all and this is the best, option there is. Honestly it’s sooo seamless. I don’t know any other company that would let you rent their trucks for this price or per hour. This is the only company out there that doesn’t have a high deposit and is extremely inexpensive. Everything is done via the app all you do is enter your drivers license, and credit card info and you’re approved! THATS IT, there’s no hidden fees, and they are very transparent about everything. Plus you can contact them at any time and reserve at anytime. They are very communicative and can always talk to a live person. 10/10 recommended!! $89 for a full day rental? 100 miles included? Where else but Fluid?
I think Fluid Truck is a great idea with (currently) very poor execution. For starters, Fluid truck cancelled one of my reservations two hours prior to the start without cause or warning. When I rebooked with them, they gave me the wrong location to pick up the vehicle. I called customer service, who hung up on me twice while I was trying to troubleshoot the app to open the vehicle. After many apologies from the service rep, we were able to get into truck, but it was already 1.5 hours past the start of the reservation, for context. We were reassured that our reservation would be extended, free of charge. At the time our initial reservation was due to end, we began receiving threatening text messages about Fluid Truck demobilizing our vehicle if we didn’t pay to extend our reservation. Horrified, we quickly called customer support, only to be sent to a voicemail. We were scared for our safety while on the road and pulled over as soon as we could. Customer service didn’t bother to call us back. We were finally able to log in on the website and extend the reservation, and the promise of a free extension was not honored. We lost so much time, money, and sanity (!!!), thinking that the car could turn off in the middle of the road. They offered me some credits later on, but honestly, I will never use this service again as long as I live, so that wouldn’t be helpful. I hope I save someone out there the headache that is Fluid Truck.
