Golf Galaxy: Gear and Services

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is easily my favorite golf store. The inventory is incredible, the sales are actually worth paying attention to, and the rewards program keeps finding new ways to convince me that spending money is somehow saving money. Seriously, if they don’t have what you’re looking for, there’s a decent chance it hasn’t been invented yet. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help. Nobody follows you around like you’re trying to steal a driver, and they’re usually more than happy to spend time answering questions or helping track something down. Customer service has always been one of the store’s biggest strengths. Now, about the club fitting. The confidence level is elite. PGA Tour-level confidence. The accuracy level? Well… let’s just say there have been moments where I started wondering if we were fitting golf clubs or picking lottery numbers. I’ve had fitting conversations where I found myself nodding along politely while mentally fact-checking everything being said. Discussions about shafts, lie angles, and swing weights sometimes feel less like a fitting session and more like two people independently guessing the answer to the same question. The funny thing is, I still keep coming back. Why? Because everything else is that good. The selection is unmatched, the prices are competitive, the sales are excellent, and the rewards program is legitimately one of the best around. So my advice is simple: trust them completely when they tell you what’s on sale. Trust them completely when they tell you what’s in stock. Trust them completely when they explain the rewards program. When it comes to club fitting, maybe bring a second opinion. Preferably one that has played golf before. All jokes aside, it’s a fantastic store that does a lot of things exceptionally well. If the fitting expertise ever catches up to the quality of the inventory and customer service, there won’t be much left to improve.

I found the app would only fully load the main home page on my Iphone. If I tried going into any of the sub categories, it would load text, but the products section would be empty. Not useful at all. On a hunch, I paused my VPN and relaunched the app. With the VPN paused, the sub category pages started populating. Going straight to the website worked fine with the VPN enabled so I’m giving the app 2 stars for requiring extra steps to make it functional.

I went to the new Golf Galaxy in Framingham, MA. Nick was very friendly and super insightful with his knowledge of golf. A true Pro’s Pro. I found my go-to golf spot for sure!
