It’s such a cool idea for an app. Like, genius but the test is not long enough and I kept getting typed what I know I’m not. Like I’ve taken MBTI several times and I always gotten ISFP. The test needs more valid measures. Fix the questions up a little bit make sure they are good questions. Like, for example there was a question And I think it was trying to distinguish sensors from intuitives. But the question was not distinguishable enough. So, make the the questions measure what it needs to measure. Secondly, it’s not compatibility ratings it’s comradeship. Just because I have something in common someone doesn’t make me compatible with me. Third, why is it so dang expensive? Fourth, Update, make it look like Instagram, make the logo more appealing. Watch CS Joseph videos to understand these types better. Overall happy that there is an MBTI social media app, genius 👌:)
I was looking online for a personality test online because in a stand up routine I was watching on Instagram, a girl was talking about a date she went on and how the first thing he made her do was take a Myers-Briggs personality test. So I was like “Im curious to see what a “Myers-Briggs” personality test is because it sounds cool so I looked it up and the website for this app was the first thing I saw it said free test. So I’m I’m dang, this looks legit and it free. I go in and I direct myself to the test and take it. These questions sounded legit and reasonable and not like “On a Saturday night are more likely to 1. Cozy up with book and warm tea 2. Go to an ecstasy rave at a desert.” So I’m impressed and go to see my result. It tells me to enter an email but it says optional so I don’t because I don’t like spam. At this point I can’t believe it didn’t force me to put in my email or refuse to give my results until I did. But then… it happened. The next thing I read are, “Now click CONTINUE and on the next page install our brand-new app PersonalityMatch* to see your test results.” And I respected that so much that I had to get it. And I’m a nurturer, which cool I guess.
I’ll be honest, I have taken a couple tests like this in the past, and granted it has been a while...but I was slightly shocked and pleasantly surprised by this one. It wasn’t at all the results I went in to it expecting, and yet after reading what was included in the results, I cannot believe how on point it was in describing me (all emotional issues from personal traumas aside). So I paid to see the career results, since I’ve been struggling to figure out what direction to take in my undergraduate studies. Now, I’ve taken some tests on that in the past and recently even, but none of them ever gave me a list where I literally could see myself not only having such a career, but actually finding it interesting, fulfilling, worthwhile, and enjoyable. This one did that. Out of the list, which was pretty long (but all very very closely aligned), I could really only see two that I was not picturing working out. And the top choice in it was seriously the exact subject I’ve been tossing back and forth for the last while, but second guessing my abilities in it (likely because I also have horrible self esteem at times-again with the emotional issues). Anyway, probably this is an unnecessarily long and oddly detailed review, but all in all, 4.5 outta five if I could rate it properly.
