Mahjong Treasure Quest: Club

I’ve been playing this game for a few years now, off and on. I redownloaded it several months ago and it has definitely improved in the few years since I started playing it. It is really fun and visually appealing, but I made the mistake of buying the $5 pack that would give me extra awards. After I did that, I was no longer able to watch ads to get power ups that I needed to complete some levels and I could no longer watch ads to get fairy dust for the expeditions. What’s most frustrating is how often I’ve been running into levels that are legitimately unbeatable without a shuffle power up, but even with a shuffle power up sometimes you still fail the level. It’s ridiculous. And it’s also been glitching a lot recently to where it says it’s not connected to the internet when no other apps on my phone have been having this issue. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it to try to fix it and I lost all of my progress, including everything I paid for !!!! I’m so upset and I haven’t heard back from the team to try to restore my progress, because my stupid self spent money on this stupid game and now I’m regretting ever reinstalling it. It’s absurd that they don’t have a restore purchase option available ....

Without much direction, I started playing the expeditions and have become quite addicted to it, however, the tasks are impossible to complete. A block of ice in the last expedition was 460 stars, that means it will take 3 hours and 30 minutes to eliminate this one piece! I was sure there was something there that prompted such a high “price”, but alas, nothing. So I log on after 1 1/2 hours, and reduce its requirements by 200, do that again in another 1 1/2 hours, then after 30 more minutes finish it off. So after 3 1/2 hours of “play”, I’ve only eliminated one block of ice with about 10 seconds of play. How is that realistic? I was determined to chop down enough tress for the bridge because I was sure there must some big payout there too, but nope. The only thing across that bridge was 1 wreath. 5-6 days of play concentrating mainly on that bridge-all for a lousy wreath. Lastly, I’ve purchased dynamite and earned some. I very much dispute the amount of power it has, it takes out about half of the value it claims. Maybe 3 trees if I’m lucky, even though they are lit up as though they will be eliminated when I place the dynamite. I try a different strategy each time I play to see what works and what doesn’t, the response you had to people regarding the orange tasks would have been nice to know. Why does one need to read reviews to find this out? Please, please, make this particular aspect of the game more equitable. It’s quite outrageous as it is.

I play several “free” games that have ads and in app purchases. Due to this game not having ads, of course they want you to spend money. I have been able to make progress in all other games I’ve played but this game is very difficult to get anywhere without purchases. I don’t want to make purchases, so I am stuck on level 26 and can’t progress. It’s not even a difficult puzzle but I have played it 20 times now and can never solve it. I would need at least one shuffle boost icon, which the app makes difficult to get, in order to pass this level. Basically you may be able to get one kind of boost a day for free but there have been several days where I didn’t receive any. After completing each level there are boxes that say “you found” above them, and I was hoping to maybe find boosters or something, but those boxes are empty after every level I have completed, even the several I passed with all 3 stars. I have no idea what a player can “find” in a level because I have never “found” anything on any of the 25 regular levels nor the several other side levels I have successfully completed. It can be a fun game IF you are willing to spend money. If not, you will loose your 5 lives in 15 minutes or less and have to quit and try again later in the day or the next day where your new 5 lives will last about another 15 minutes or less. Going to try a different mahjong game, this one just can’t be played for very long at all.
