FetchKids School Dismissal

This simple little app was responsible for the worst dismissal in our schools history. There are numerous glitches within the app and we should have taken note of the low review score. If your school's administrators want to use this service/app for mass dismissal be sure they have a backup plan. The app will not work and you will have lots of angry parents. Our small school suffered significant harm to our image and credibility due to this little app. Take note that all the positive reviews are about the same length and written in similar verse... Sound familiar? They are using bots to dilute the poor reviews. Read further down and see the problems with this service. The response from Fetch Kids is insulting. I am not fabricating the day parents waited hours and backed up traffic due to the problems this app caused. The fact that they would dismiss this complaint nonchalantly reveals the nature of their attitude towards problems with their app. Instead of simply apologizing and offering to resolve the issue, they claim our problems are not real, and everyone is happy. The shallow response should be a clear warning to any administrators thinking about handing their critical dismissal process to this company.

This app is complete trash. Who wants someone monitoring where you are at all times? Not me. Privacy is a huge issue right now and this app Claims it only alerts the school when you are close and that it doesn’t save your location info. Sound familiar? Same song and dance that other apps have claimed and then been fined for. Hate the app, hate the fact that my son’s school wants to use this. Note: if you do not turn on location services, app doesn’t work. I can’t have location services on because of my job position, so more reasons why this app is trash. Would give negative stars if possible. FetchKids responded to my review, however it wholly failed to address the privacy issue. It does track your location (GPS is a tracking tool to know your exact location in order to inform the school how far out you are), and it failed to respond to the issue of location services being turned off. After the response, I would rate this app as a negative 5 (-5).

When someone else does drop off, both kids are never dropped off successfully. Then when I go to pick up, I’m not able to alert both teachers because it says someone else is still dropping off one of the kids. Also- why isn’t there a drop off va pick up button. It alarming when it says my kids are picked up when I’m expecting them to be dropped off. Last, it often logs in and out 3 or 4 times during my 20 minute commute. It will say one of my kids has been picked up and I always panic that the wrong person picked up my kids!
