The 3 different log in choices is excellent because we are all fed up with so much security on smart phones that only we have access to. The face recognition uses a different type to Apple and is inferior but if you giggle around will work 70%. It can’t recognise you in the dark, unlike Apple. There are a few quirky comments that are amusing if you get facial recognition wrong. It took awhile to find transaction history, so perseverance is worth it. It’s actually one of my favourite banking apps. Integration with Apple ID will help. You have to link with one other account or transfers get rejected even if trying to deposit. A bit strange, but avoids endless scam checking by the bank I suppose. Hopefully Atom will keep a competitive interest rate, because I like most readers will leave if doesn’t beat the big banks. Been with Atom years, even better now has cash ISA option
I have to admit I was a little bit unsure about opening an account via an app with a bank I had never heard of, but Atom kept coming top in best interest tables, so after checking the Fscs register to make sure deposits were protected fully I took the plunge and opened an account. What a breath of fresh air! After years of banking with dinosaur financial institutions Atom is a comparative delight, the app works perfectly everything is super simple yet very secure. Clear accurate information with plain English all the way, with a friendly interface, making it easy to find information at ALL times. I notice that if I transfer money out it quite literally takes seconds to appear in my nominated account, thats pretty mind blowing and puts the likes of the old boys at Lloyds, NatWest etc to shame. Atom bank…Whats not to like? In fact what’s not to love! with all the above AND some of THE BEST INTEREST RATES available in the uk, this is modern banking at its best. So in summary; after well over a year of using and not a single glitch occurring I’m pleased to announce that, I ❤️ Atom
I will not be “rate chasing” with the range of unethical, complicated and frankly out modes companies in banking like I have all my life. Atom don’t support the awful legacy business model which sees rich customers benefit from free banking and services they do not need that poorer customers pay for through rates, limited service and restricted services that hold them back financially. Amazing company and the best place I can think of to put our family savings. We get a top of the table rate that isn’t there to “trick you in” then disappear like the big banks. Most importantly, I know that our money goes onto the Atom balance sheet which they then offer FAIRLY to all customers without excessively penalising people that really need a good rate. This is because Atom don’t offer current accounts (yet) which perpetuate financial inequality in the UK. I get a great return and I’m doing a good thing through good people and a good company. Thank you Atom.
