I have a 25 year old truck that has a shaky speedometer. Sometimes (most of the time) it works, but sometimes it doesn’t. This app works all the time and gives me peace of mind when the speedometer drops off to zero. Gives the street, speed limit, direction, and more. Highly recommended
I downloaded this app at a rest area in north eastern British Columbia, Canada then started driving and noticed that the gps part of the app keeps freezing whenever there is no cellular signal which makes me think several things. The app puts priority on mobile data intensive tasks like loading ads, loading incorrect speed limits for roads and then it will try to show your speed after it gives up after 10 minutes of trying to download data and ads , then the entire sequence of not showing gps speed starts again. As another user mentioned, the speed limit information is both incorrect and slow to display IF you have cell data connectivity. Don’t download this app if you plan on relying on speed limit information or if you will drive in remote areas where cell service is not available.
I had my son download the same app on his phone. When I plug my phone in to Apple CarPlay it was registering my speed 8 to 10 miles an hour faster than what was on his phone. When I plug my phone into a different outlet it was accurate. I put larger tires on my car so my speedometer in my car is off. Why is this application not accurate with Apple CarPlay?
