When you download the app you have 10 minutes to try it. Minus the nice introduction of the developer while exercising and going through settings, you have about 1 minute to measure something. I have s mi 2 that was properly detected by the app but could not get the app measure anything within the 10 minutes.
The business model of the app is to charge 99c for each continuous measurement. And yes, you buy them 1 at a time. This is a bad model because at the price of a mi 2 plus 50 measurements I can buy a high-end fit-bit with free continuous heart rate measurement. So what's the point?

Just an update to the following review. The firmware of the band got updated. Now, even with the paid version, it doesn't stay connected for longer than a minute. Need an app update.
Without this program, the Mi Pulse Band is nothing more than a toy. This little app at least allows other fitness apps like Strava to access the band and record my pulse. I still have problems connecting with the band, but I don't know if that is because of the app or the actual band.
I find that if I use the Mi app to take my pulse first, this app has an easier time connecting with the band. Then I open Strava to connect. Not the best, but for less than $20 for the band and $1 for this app, it works until I can get something more reliable and accurate. I did manage to get above a 220 heart beat and I know that was wrong. The accuracy is way off. I also get a 65 reading while in a full on HIIT workout.
You get what you pay for is all I can say.

I bought the Mi band 2 for many reasons but one was for the alarms. The one alert I wanted the most will not work on the mi fit app. It’s funny my wife has a iPhone 4s and her sms works but not email. I have a iPhone 8 with iOS 11.3 and mine works the opposite way. I see with the mi heart rate app you can only turn on sms alert if I buy it. So how can I be sure it will work if it doesn’t on other app? I would buy your app if I no for sure it will work. Can you help me fix this issue of no sms alerts?
