I gave 4 stars but the app really deserves 4 1/2 stars. I’ve been looking for a weather app like this for a long time. The data is always accurate because it’s straight from the most reliable source and the app design and layout are perfect. The only thing that’s missing are push notifications for severe weather but the app design is so great that push notifications aren’t a big deal. I would like to see one change by the developer. I think the green color looks awful. If you can add an option in the settings for me to change that color I’ll update my review to 5 stars. Great job on the app!

This app gives you complete weather information for any location covered by NOAA's NWS, and presents it efficiently. It doesn't have moving backgrounds, pretty pictures, or other useless eye candy. It DOES, however, report all the weather data most folks would ever want. Temp, wind speed and direction, cloud cover? Check. Satellite loop? Check. Forecast explanation so you can learn what the forecasting meteorologist was thinking? Check. Ability to track a virtually unlimited number of locations? Check. And more.
I've been using this app for years, and never regretted buying it.

This app is the most useful one that I have seen. It is the most complete and, I feel, the best designed way to check weather information. I’m tired of the dumbed down world of cute icons and basic information that tells me little to nothing.
As with the rest of the folks that have been scouring the App Store for the “right” weather app, this one quickly caught my attention. I have done searches for Weather apps, off and on, for a few years but never saw this one.
The developer obviously knows the importance of useful weather information.

Avanti Weather, or AWeather for short, is a weather app for iDevices (iPhones, iPads, and iPods) that lets you manage weather forecasts from NOAA (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) and the National Weather Service (NWS) while you're on the go and away from the internet. Weather data can be downloaded for multiple locations when you have a net connection and can be viewed later whether you have a net connection or not. In addition to using the accurate NOAA/NWS forecast data, you can get the forecast for where you want it and not only for major metropolitan locations.
