TD Snap®

I just got this app the other day because I experience verbal shutdowns. I love it so much, it’s a huge upgrade from the old app I was using. It’s so easy to customize and make so it fits my brain. You can even share page sets with friends and community members! My only complaint is that I can’t change the undo symbol. It is stuck as a default one. Someone in the AAC Image Library community drew a beautiful rainbow undo button that matches my back button. I also suggest that the developers reach out to the ACCIL and see if you could link your image database to their’s. They are also paired with Global Symbols

As an experienced SLP working in this field for many years, using many different apps and devices for AAC, TD Snap is by far the best. Better than the most popular one out there that is being used by the schools. Many options within the app. Less searching for icons with tax prediction, and maximum of three pages to find your word check it out. It’s seriously the best. And Tobii Dynovox customer service is great as well.

We purchased the ipad app when it was a one time purchase. Now with every update speech is disabled and a subscription is pushed. We also own a full TD SNAP device from this company that our county health department paid for. This is the 8k plus device. That is also supposed to come with two ipad activations. Those also do not work. Today they released an update on all devices. My non-verbal daughter had all her devices disabled at once when they all forced an update. Even her 8k dollar device (with is just a low powered windows 11 tablet with a heave duty case and speakers) stopped working. This company has an absolutely terrible business model. If we could start over we would. We tell other parents in our support group who are looking at devices to NOT do business with Tobi Dynovox. They are not a family friendly company. We essentially bought a small car in dollar amounts from them. One that stops you from driving your car at every refill of the gas tank. How quick would this wind up in legal land if auto manufacturers treated their customers the same way? They make Microsoft look like saints.
