Let me start off but saying WaiveCar is awesome. I'm visiting LA for a month and was trying to figure out the best way to get to Topanga State Park without spending 2 hours in public transit or $30 each way for Uber/Lyft. Then I found WaiveCar - which appealed to me not only for its 2 free hours, but also for the electric fleet of Ioniqs (as an EV owner at home, I loved driving the Ioniq). The process was relatively painless, HOWEVER I am deducting a star because the mobile app simply does not work on my iPhone X - I was directed to their Basic website for lock/unlock functionality - and the car was unresponsive to my unlock commands when parked in an area with poor reception. It eventually worked, but they were about to send a guy all the way over (30 min. wait) just to hand me the physical key to the car... Overall though, I would definitely use them again. That hourly rate is unbeatable.
What I would like to start off by saying is that this is such an amazing enterprise. At first I was very skeptical about this when a classmate of find suggest them to me. Then, after downloading the app I was put on the wait list. This made me even more skeptical about this company. However, after a few months of waiting I was approved to use their cars. Since I have no car, it has made running errands easier. I can go to work quicker, take my grandmother to her doctor appointments, and even hang out with friends. Above all, I would like to give a shoutout to a customer service rep by the name of Britney. When I am stuck in a jam, she is always very attentive to fix the problem no matter what.
