Buzz: Secure Medical Messenger

I have been using Buzz for a couple of years and love the iPhone version. The platform is intuitive, HIPAA-compliant, and clinically driven. We work with group of physicians where it was essential to communicate beyond the EHR related activities and be able to send messages and respond in real-time. Buzz phone is very powerful with an ability to connect 1-to-1 with other Buzz users or even patients or family members on the landline. I can call patients from my own device while showing the patients my organization phone number as a caller ID rather than the their own personal number. During Covid crisis, they quickly added Buzz Video Calls and document/form editing and signature features - they're incredible! The best part is the patient has no app or other third party download they have to use. Company also provides a real-time support to our organization to answer any queries and provide updates. The Skyscape support team actually takes feedback very seriously and is very quick to address any concerns and eager to tackle suggestions for new features or improvements!

Ever since Facebook updated their privacy policy for WhatsApp to start collecting data and sharing it with Facebook, I was concerned about the risk involved to everyone, especially thous of us who are unknowingly using WhatApp for health care related communications. I need to be able to connect with other doctors and my clinical staff in a fast and secure way that makes health data safe knowing that the conversations are not being tracked or the meta-data is being used for advertising purposes. This is where I discovered Buzz. I was thinking about switching to Signal or Telegram, but non of these apps are HIPAA secure or should be used by healthcare providers. Most of the features found in WhatsApp and much more are available here. I'm definitely very happy with the service and recommend it to all my colleagues. Happy to get rid of WhatsApp.

After trying multiple different apps and having them all fall very short, we came across Buzz. What a lifesaver! Is the app perfect? No, but anyone who tells you theirs is perfect is lying! Is it close to perfect? Absolutely! The app is easy to use, innovative and clinically driven. The support team actually takes feedback very seriously and is very quick to address any concerns and eager to tackle suggestions for new features or improvements! The addition of the Buzz phone feature, which allows my clinicians to call patients from their own device while showing the patients the agencies phone number rather than the clinicians, has helped provide that vital personal boundary and privacy for our team and enhanced communication! The most recent addition of Buzz Video Calls has been incredible! When COVID started to hit, the developers at Buzz we’re right on it and were able to provide this service we required for providing vital telehealth visits at the most vital time and they rolled it out with such ease! It is so easy to use and works very well. The best part is the patient has no app or other third party download they have to use. A simple click on a text message or email takes then right to the video call. All I can say to this amazing group of people at a Skyscape is Thank You and keep up the amazing work!
