I love this app so much! It has helped my studying for medical school immensely and has made anatomy easier to visualize and approach. There are a few things that could make the app better though. If there was animation to see the action of the muscles that would help to connect the action(s) to its origins and insertions. Also if there was an embryology component to see the development of each body part. Maybe even a pathology component too see how the disease of one organ can affect other organs. Lastly, the bookmark feature should allow you to add notes. Just being able to add a bookmark but not have the ability to write why youโre bookmarking isnโt helpful. If even a couple of these things were implemented I could give the app 5 stars.
As soon as my Anatomy class started on the bone, I knew I need some other type of resource to help me study. I stumbled upon this when watching a TikTok video. I personally think that this app is unfairly rated. Majority of the complaints are about logistical error or that support wasnโt great. If we are looking at the technical side and see what it was created for this provides just that. Very detailed and the pins are great. Only recommendations that I agree with based on the reviews from a few years ago, is a female counterpart. Another thing that I would love to see is the isolation be a bit better. For example if we are able to isolate the Sphenoid bone and view the individual pins, instead of just isolating the cranium and seeing all the pins. This does get overwhelming and makes studying a bit harder. Because when viewing the bottom view of the skull there are a lot of pins to look at and with all the bones on top of eachother itโs very hard to see the exactly where or what shape it is. By being able to isolate the different small parts or sections and being able to study the pins from that small structure would make it a lot easier. This is just me nitpicking but would also love it when we select a pin, it would highlight/color that specific part. Update: as I started to use the bookmarks tab there is a maximum of 20 bookmarks. Please allow an unlimited amount to bookmark if we are going to pay for this app. Overall a pretty solid app.
This app is super in depth and very detailed. Itโs very cool to see how the muscles connect and where veins and arteries are. Its annoying that so much of the app is behind an in app purchase but hey what ya gonna do I realize that this app is a medical reference, but Im using it for art reference. The app lists all body parts separately, it would be nice to see what it looks like all connected, like how the legs attach to the hips. There is also no female model which is somewhat understandable since there isnt a whole lot of a difference between male and female bodies, it would just be nice. It would also be cool if we could see where fat usually deposits? Or have an option with skin? The app is literally 90% there for my purposes, i just wish there was more.
