Tao Te Ching Lao Tzu

App works great, nothing excessive, very clean, very easy to navigate. The app used to have four separate translations of the Tao Te Ching, and the developer has replaced them with one version now, probably because of copyright issues, which is disappointing. I really appreciated having multiple interpretations to switch through, to understand and experience the text in different ways. Anyway, the app is still solid, and the current translation seems good to me. I would still recommend the app to those looking for a very lightweight, simple way to read the Tao Te Ching on mobile.

I really like this app, but I wish there was someway to keep track of where we left off if we are reading the chapters in order. Perhaps that last chapter read could be highlighted in the table of contents. This would be great. Also, when, using the shuffle feature, I would like to be able to go back to the previous chapter that I just read. Some sort of go back function would be nice, because if you use the shuffle future, if you can’t remember the chapter number of the previous one that you read, there’s no way to find it. I would like to be able to go back to the previous one, and the one before that, and the one before that. But out of these two features, the bookmark feature would be better. I really would like to be able to read the chapters in order and remember where I left off. Thank you to the app creator for listening!

If we read the Tao with our entire self (particularly this version) we can’t help but understand that only in developing Oneness will we ever gain Wholeness. Jesus, the Buddha, and in this present day, Thich Nhat Hanh, and many other enlightened prophets have much wisdom and guidance to offer us. But the Tao cuts straight to undeniable, unarguable Truth that can only make us into better human beings.
