I have been using Sideline for over 10yrs. So long in fact, I think I am one of the original customers. My account says “early adopter” on it. Anyway, this has been incredible for me. You get a 2nd line on your phone (I use it as my business number) so I have my main line and the 2nd line. The best part of this app imo is the fact that you text and call from the same app and you can see all of the communications in one place. Particularly helpful if someone says they haven’t heard from you or they claim you are not responding to them. All the calls and texts are in one place. You can set calls and texts to have different ringers so you know when your sideline is ringing vs your main line. You can set out of office messages and have them respond to every call and text. Mine usually say I am out of the office for a week or so and who to call in my absence. It just does everything you need it to. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I won’t go into all the details here, but the long and short story is I get hundreds of calls from a couple of different areas in Puerto Rico. It’s not spoof it’s not scam when I answer the phone they think that I’m calling them they’re not trying to sell me anything that’s scamming me they’re just frustrated as I am. Anyways I raise this issue with Sideline via text and email. They have offered no resolution to me. My biggest issue is that there is not a phone number where I can actually get on the phone and talk to somebody. So as of now I’ve had thousands of calls over a week or 10 days and this is a business number. So I have to stop in answer each and every single call because I don’t know if it’s a potential client. Unfortunately it’s going to take me a lot of time and a lot of money to switch this number over so you can imagine how inconvenient this has been. Again no phone number to talk to somebody from Sideline just days and days of endless nonsense texts and emails that are getting me nowhere. Now I know that there are thousands of people that don’t have an issue. Nor did I for the first six months. And I don’t even know if this is sidelines fault or not. What I’m telling you is that if you have an issue with them good luck trying to get it resolved because you cannot actually talk to somebody. I am a 53-year-old entrepreneur that owns many many many companies. So it’s not like this is a of a phone number that I’m using to cheat on my girlfriend. Anyway I wish you guys the best of luck I hope this does not happen to anybody else.
I had this app before it was paid. Loved the features that most apps don’t have, so it operates just like a business line, plus you can choice a special ring tone, change your voice mail greeting, often & more. My issue became serious a few days ago when my new clients were not reaching me because my phone rang once & for them the same BUT it cut them off without access to voice mail. This have cost me great embarrassment and PLUS when I contacted customer service and followed the normal steps. Reinstall the app each time it got worst. I permanently deleted this app & cancelled my subscription and went to Burner app of which is a down grade because I can not access the voice mail, no special ring feature, but I’m grateful to have a working app. I’m disappointed because I still believe sideline is one of the best low cost apps with multi-features I like & appreciated. I guest I will have to upgrade to Grasshopper because I must have a custom voicemail & Burner already has a glitch which prevents me from accessing voice mail. Sideline thanks for years of great service. But when my customer are compromised, that’s just unacceptable. Perhaps this is just what happens in the app world. It’s challenging because all my business cards & social media has the number. Cheers to fixing your challenges as well!
