Like others have said the tutorials could be accessible more than one time pop ups. I suggest adding a help page that users can go to at any time to see the functions of the game and when the “news” is available. Something that explains you have to click on the number of the stock to see its info because i also clicked them a milion times and opened and closed the app before i figured out i had to press the number.
First, it starts you off with no stock history or charts to use to make your initial purchases. And it won’t let you skip to week 2 without spending most of your funds to get some clues. So you are forced to blindly spread your funds across all the stocks and then see what you lose on week 2. Real traders do not guess. They have charts and history info to base their decisions on. They don’t simply see how much it went up or down without knowing it’s average highs and lows. Second, there is no indicator on the main stock page to see what you have purchased and how much. So you are forced to either memorize whatever you purchased, write them down somewhere, or tap on every stock after every week ends to see what you have. You should be able to see how many of each stock you purchased on the main screen to avoid this silliness. Third, absolutely no tutorial. It just starts you with a basic introduction and then plops you on the main screen. (I kept tapping on the stock names on the left and nothing happened. Took me a while to figure that you tap on its current price.). This game IS a great concept. But the lack of a tutorial and line or bar charts to use makes it unrealistic. All the guessing was making me feel more like I was at the casino playing the slots, than a stock market trader.
It truly is a disgrace to have to give this game a three star rating, as it has lots of potential. I would give it two stars, but then I remembered it has no ads, so it is deserving of 3 stars currently. The game right now is great, it is realistic, it has a nice aesthetic, and has original ideas. From the stock names to the layout, the game looks great. However, there is one major flaw. It is very hard to tell if a stock will go up or down and seems to be based on pure chance. The only thing to help is the Wall Street Today and the Economy News. However, these only come once every four weeks and most of the time, won’t have any news to share. Because of this, it can be hard to make money because it is seemingly random whether a stock will go up or down. A solution I came up with is to introduce a stock graph. This way, players will be able to see a stock’s history. Not only this, incorporating a pattern system into the game can help players see whether a stock will go up or down. These patterns could be a bull pennant, a head and shoulders, or a bull flag, all real things in the actual stock market. With these patterns, it would be possible to tell what a stock will do in the next week. The patterns don’t have to show up often, but they should appear at least once a year, if not more. This would be a great addition to the game, and if it receives this major update, I will definitely be making a five star review for this game. I really hope the developer reads this and will at least give this idea some thought.
