Hollywood Movie Star Life Sim

This game is amazing and seriously addicting — it really pulls you into the grind of trying to make it big in Hollywood. I love the detail and how much effort clearly went into building the star life journey. That said, it does take quite a while to become famous and land significant movie or TV roles. In my own playthrough, I didn’t get a show with a solid IMDb score (finally an 8.8!) until I was around 29. Before that, most of my projects had embarrassingly low scores (like 2.8), which made the climb to stardom feel extra slow. Another thing I’d like to see improved is the money system. Right now, even as an A-lister, I’m earning about $200k on average per project. In real life, top-tier actors pull in $10 million or more per film, so the payouts in the game don’t quite reflect the reality of what being a superstar means. Lastly, the overall difficulty feels like it’s locked on “hard mode.” It would be great if the devs added Easy, Medium, and Hard modes so players can choose how quickly (or slowly) they want their fame and fortune to build. Overall though, the game is really good and highly addictive. It just needs a few tweaks to balance the grind and rewards. Thanks for making this — looking forward to future updates!

I am going to start by saying this is only constructive criticism with hopes that the feedback can be implemented somehow. The game overall is fun and I had a few bucks left over so I purchased enough energy to have 1000 total so as far as energy I have no critiques. However the glaring issue is getting booked for movies or shows especially late game. My current actor has 150 showreel rating, a 540 scene performance, and a 99 headshot but can’t seem to make any good worthwhile bookings even with the “Oskar” wins. Now basing that on real life it would make 0 sense. Out of 307 submissions I only got 70 acting jobs which means my acceptance rate was 4.38% a number that is surprising considering my character is an A list actor with multiple Oskar wins and top of the bankable 100. A rework of getting booked has to happen in order to balance out status and opportunity. I’m not saying my character should get every job I apply for however it would make sense if my acceptance rate was higher. Also the lack of good agents is astonishing seeing again as I am an A list actor and the highest agent I’ve seen is a 92. Another issue seems to be the overall performance of film/tv shows that are released. You can have a 167 performance with a director that has a 122 rating but for some reason the critics will give poor reviews which seems nonsensical. Last but not least is the money issue. Now I understand just flooding you with money makes the game too easy but it is very rare to get a good paying gig unless your agent books the role and they rarely get you a good role. I have other small tweaks but there aren’t as prevalent as the issues mentioned beforehand. I don’t want an easy game and enjoy a challenge however this game currently is just a waste of time. I love the game and it’s so addicting. I like that it also doesn’t stall out after you make a little progress like a lot of games. There are a bunch of new challenges that come along with transitioning your career into producer/director roles. Couple suggested changes - you should have an option to turn down roles that your agent tries to book. Especially because your rating seems to partially depend on the quality of the productions you’re a part of, you should be able to turn down low quality ones… or when the pay is too low. I’ve gotten to the point of just firing my agent after a while because they just book absolutely everything. I think the endorsements could use a rebalance. At some point it’s not worth it to put in that much energy without a bigger payday. You should also be allowed to fire your manager without losing all your endorsements. It would also be really nice if that some point you showed up on the list of actors you can book for a movie you’re producing. Since you can write the screenplay, shouldn’t you also be able to star in it? Also, I think the actors should have some measure of fit for the projects like the locations do - some actors probably not great for some movies. As it stands I just basically have to book the same actors for everything to get the rating up. Would also be nice to get some control over open casting. I only write these because I love the game! Some of these changes will just keep me playing forever lol.
