I bought this from Crate & Barrel Kids because I liked the idea of the clock with a light to silently tell my child it is ok to get up. The idea is great but…Everything in the clock must be controlled via the app. The app is poorly made and many features of the clock can’t even be controlled from the app. I do not want a bright white light before the light turns green. I do not want the clock face to turn on every time a sound is made (why would that even be a thing?!). Now my 3 year old spends an hour every night yelling “boo!” At the light to get the watch face to turn back on. Every night. I just want the light to turn green at 6:00am. Guess that’s too much to ask…

Countdown function has a bug. When you start the countdown the start button changes to a pause button. Pause the countdown and countdown stops. The button changes back to start button, when you click the start button the countdown starts over, not resuming from the number it stopped at. There is another button called restart. Clicking that button starts the countdown all over again. You should be able to pause the clock then resume from that time. App is hard to navigate and can’t use the countdown like I wanted. Lack of ability to add my own alarms sounds and doesn’t even have a simple beep alarm.

The app is more an after though for the product than one of the primary features of the product. It is as basic an app can get and looks like it was created by someone with a amateur understanding of smartphone app design and development. It does not have any features other than basic ones and does not give an option for any sort of customization. The app and the device are one trick ponies and it you want more features you just have to buy a new device and hope the app associated with it is better.
