Feels like the beta version with all the frequent UI changes. I appreciate the improvements but this is a bit excessive. Also, the home run pass runs out too fast. Why not just make it last the whole month? Iโd personally have no problem purchasing it each month and it should include a pass that can skip the ads. Itโs a fun game to pass time but I find most people quit within a month or two because itโs repetitive and gets a little boring getting stuck on the same stadium for so long. Can I suggest a random stadium mode? Maybe even a random batter and random stadium mode could be fun. Just a thought to mix things up.
I wanted to like the game because I love playing baseball arcade games. The graphics looked good so I gave it a try. It takes a minute to figure out the doโs and donโts of the controls but those pickup pretty quick. My biggest problem is that it gets boring very quickly. The tutorial just shows the basics and if thereโs a way to control more than just swinging the bat, itโs not obvious at all. Even with the Babe Ruth type pointing and calling your home run, you have no control over it beyond just swinging your bat. You donโt even get to control when to use it or the pinging of where youโre gonna hit it. If youโre trying to hurry and get more points before the timer runs down, out of nowhere your player calls the home run location. If the other player is continuing with normal at bats then they get in two swings before your animation is done pointing and winding up. You either end up too far behind to make the extra points worth it or the timer runs out in the middle of your animation and the slight edge you had is gone. I think they spent more time on the animation and images than they did on the actual gameplay. Minecraft has crappy 1980โs style pixel graphics and is still the top downloaded game in the world. Iโd be willing to sacrifice graphics for a funner experience.
This second hrc game has a much different feel than original game. it has much of the same content, with the addition of some new features also. challenge mode is very different, yet still very fun. it is a much shorter session of challenging gameplay than the 10 minute or more sessions that you have to play for a high score in the first hrc. the red ball challenge derby is an excellent new event that is a 24hr event where you can compete on your own schedule, instead of requiring you to play at a specific hour of the day. 2vs2 battle royale is another fun implementation, and it is an idea i had suggested to Haegin over a year ago, so i am happy to see it put into play. i would love to see it evolve into a more competitive and consistent game mode, where players can select a teammate of their choice and register the team for a ranked season. Many of the differences are for the better, in my opinion. I like that the trophy count dictates the 1vs1 stadium you queue for, and it will prevent the issue from hrc1 where highly skilled and players with very progressed, high level accounts are hanging back in low stadiums bullying newer players with lower level batters/items. I donโt particularly like the difference in the game clock reaching 0:00 meaning the score is locked and balls in flight are not going to get credited. it is something that i am not used to and it makes a big difference in the overall outcome of many matches.
