Hiragana Memory Hint [English]

I’ve made more memory progress using this app in two days than I have in two weeks using other apps and even hand writing. It’s been two days and I’m pretty sure I’ll have all of the hiragana completly down within the next 3-4. I’ll be keeping the app and training with it every day though. The only thing it’s missing is a way to write in the characters. That’s it. That’s the only thing missing. Other than that, truly a 5 star app. I never rate anything 5 stars because I’m super critical and nit pick a lot. But after downloading and deleting app after app, this being almost exactly what I’ve been hunting for earns it that extra star. I love it.

Simple and effective. Makes memory hooks that work well for beginners and stick. I use this in conjunction with other apps and I have much better recall. Sound isn’t working in iOS 17.4, and maybe that will get fixed (kudasai?) but that shortfall doesn’t distract much from the usefulness of this app.

This app as well as the online course provided by the Japan Foundation have restored my hope in learning Japanese. I was feeling extremely overwhelmed when I sat down and came across all of the resources available but this app and the course have made it all so clear and easy to understand. I am just now starting my path of learning Japanese but am so excited and looking forward to how much I will learn!
