Heartland+

Like many, I am a huge fan of the MeTV Toons channel, but when I heard the makers of Retro TV/Heartland announced a new competing digital broadcast/streaming channel called Hasbro Legends, I was excited! I previously had the Retro TV predecessor app “It’s Real Good TV” on my iPhone and home Rokus, and originally I was wondering why in the past few weeks it stopped working! Turned out it was a rebranding and a new app called “Heartland Plus” and even better, the Hasbro channel is on it! Now I have 2 REAL family channels to watch (the other cartoon channel which I luckily get on antenna)! It’s so nice to have another REAL family channel with Hasbro Legends, that is a channel I can easily take everywhere including at work! Just finished watching 8+ hours of Hasbro Legends on my iPhone at work and the quality was outstanding! However, I gave the app 4 stars out of 5 because on the Roku version of “Heartland Plus”, a prompt appears after 2 hours asking if I am still watching the app. This happens even with the Roku bandwidth saver turned OFF. I see no such “data saver” prompt on the iPhone version. If the Roku version can remove that “are you still watching” prompt I can upgrade my review back to 5 stars. Thanks!

Great mix of music, docs, action and retro shows.

Love having access to such a wealth of entertainment, both past and present. The world needs more good, quality content, and Heartland Plus delivers!
