Years ago this was a favorite on my laptop. Everything is now on my iPhone and was missing these fun games and found it in Apps. Works and looks so much better than all the others and I can actually see the cards. I love it.
I have other solitaire apps but this one remains my favorite over and over again. I love the background choices, the sounds in the background, and all the unique solitaire games like Grandfather Clock and Montana that I love to play for hours.
I have played and enjoyed this game for years. The look and feel of it, the sounds, and the gameplay made it a go to game for me. But a new version was just pushed to my phone, and I hate it. The new game play is slower and clumsier, and it seems like it’s now impossible to win unless you buy tokens to cheat when you get stuck. I don’t play that way, and I resent that it’s being foisted upon me. I paid for the app years ago, and I get that the developer needs to make money, but forcing me to change the way I play so that I have to buy tokens is not going to make them any money from me. I didn’t ask for this upgrade, and I don’t like that they are basically saying that I either have to adapt to their pay model or I can’t use the game I paid for. It seems that they have made my choice for me.
It started in 1995 -- one of the first true color card games ever made, at a time when computer Solitaire was still running in 16 colors. Thirty years...
