I really enjoyed the format of the videos that match the written information on each lesson. I can listen to it in the car and then I can read it to really cement it in. The questions all match the question pool and the web interface is even better than the app. They generously provided me with a scholarship to get my technician and general licenses which I got last month on the first try, exactly as advertised. The application process for the scholarship was very simple. I think it was 10 minutes from when I first clicked apply to when I received notice that I was approved for the scholarship. Your mileage may vary, but they were super quick with me. All in all, I highly recommend this course. I recommend it to anybody talking their licensure exams. If you follow the lessons and take notes and take it seriously, you’ll definitely pass on the first try, just like the advertise.

I used this app to get my technician license less than two years ago. A few weeks back I decided to finish general and hopefully extra. I’m a little over half way through the general sections and I’m still impressed how great this course is. The cost of the course, which includes all three licenses, is well worth ever penny. I own the ARRL books, but I’ve always picked up things better when someone explains it to me. I go through about a section of the course per day, and randomly take a test or two from a section I’ve already completed to reinforce what I’ve already learned. His presentation of the material is straight forward, and he’s got a great speaking voice. Would highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking to get into the hobby or upgrade their current license. The course is giving me the the knowledge to choose the right setup, for long distance communications, after our move to Alaska next spring. Until then I’m enjoying exploring the airwaves with my FT5D. 73 from KD9VYP!

This app has been excellent, at least until recently. They made some major back end changes that affected the way progress was calculated, which reset all of my progress. It is unfortunate, but it seems as if it will be a good adjustment for their customers, overall (they are very professional and responsive from their support teams). It won't affect anyone that subscribes and starts after they made the changes, but for someone like me that was over 51% of my way through, I have to start over if I want to show it at 100% (which I will probably finish anyway). I used this and the Ham Study app, and I already passed and received my Technician's License exam, but I had wanted to finish it, for purposes of the satisfaction of the visual indicator of the hard work and study I put in. I emailed support and was assured it was a benefit, over the long haul. They also gave me a 10% off coupon for something on their website, which I'm eyeballing. Hopefully I can catch myself up to where I want to be, but I do have my Technician's license already, so maybe I'll just skip onto the General now and review the Technician's material later. Thanks to Ham Radio Prep for being so professional and responsive. Not including a few pieces of feedback I offered, I adjusted my rating to 5 stars. They were incredibly empathetic to my frustrations and top notch for receiving my feedback.
