Slight update in making the UI seem a bit kore modern, but same functionality as previous versions (although I don’t remember the landscape view from the older version, and having all knobs on one screen is helpful). However, the info part for each algorithm is now in a tiny (!) font size that is unreadable on a phone (and still in Times New Roman, while the rest of the app is a sans serif).
Eventide H9 is a high quality product in build, sound, and capabilities. This pedal is capable of having practically every peffect known. Each effect is cleaner than almost every dedecated pedal out there. It can be controlled from an iphone or ipad ( nice to not have to bend over all the time). I have 2, and was able to get rid of most of my other pedals. l would advise anyone considering investing in one or more to do a deep dive into what it does and how to configure it to meet your needs.
UI still needs an update, but it’s very functional and thank God they fixed the BT connectivity problems. It’s really convenient to be able to program your H9’s without having the stoop down and fiddle with knobs forever. This is Eventide’s biggest advantage over competitors like Strymon.
