GrowIt: Garden Planner

There is a ton that I love about this app. First, it has a ton of information which has helped me quite a bit and the scheduling of what to do each month is super useful. Next, there is the weather warning aspect which I adore because my state has very erratic weather. Finally ,there is the garden planing aspect which includes listening what plants work well with others for companion farming. There are a couple things I think could be included with this app though. Balcony farming has become really popular and those plants are usually in pots. For my family, we use pots of different sizes and shapes. If the different shapes and sizes could be included for watering and the garden planner I think this app would gain a bunch of traction from other balcony farmers. Another update I think would be good is including more varieties of individual vegetables. I sometimes can’t find the plant or seeds I have on the app and I have noticed that the needs of these plants differ from the generic listing. Finally I think adding the exact amount of water each plants needs for watering would be helpful for balcony farmers. I know in my area many people need to water their plants a little bit everyday to help prevent scorching. This sometimes results in plants being overwatered or underwatered. I think being able to document how much water is given and how much the plant needs for the rest of the week would be very helpful.

I’m loving the grow it app and how informative it is. I wish we could get some new patchwork from the developers for goals completed goals and points with some sort of in app currency for in app backgrounds. Also, be able to share your garden pics with others. As well as, have a leaderboard option to see who has had the most goals or work completed in their garden. Lastly, for new growers, time lapse photos so they know what they are looking for from sprout to harvest. This update would have to be something like where we have to send pics for verification of completed goals. I love staying in the garden it’s a new found peace and I’m looking for fun ways to better my garden whether by presenting it more elegantly or by yielding a better harvest. Improvements for the app only mean more improvements in our garden. I support the GrowIt App both where it’s currently at and where its potential to grow is at. I can’t wait to see it blossom into the best gardening app on the market!!!

I had always hoped to find an app like this that makes not only the planning of my garden easy, but also remembering to water, etc. I love that it can diagnose problems and has TONS of information to help you be successful in growing. It even tells you how many plants you can plant per square foot and if it’s next to companion plants or not. I docked a star for a couple of things, and maybe I just haven’t found them yet, but where there is a reminder to water, you can’t manually add rainfall. That would be a nice add and especially if you could track how much rain the plants got. Another thing, and again, I just may not have found it yet, I wish there was a way to track plant maintenance like fertilizer or even pesticides used and for what. The final thing is being able to manually enter when they sprout so that it keeps track of that as well. Ultimately, this app offers so much and what you get for the price seems very fair, but I do think it needs a few tweaks. I would definitely recommend this app, but developers, if you’re listening, think you could add a few more little options? Please? 🥰
