I think applying the automatically-round-up-your-purchases approach to investing like had only been available on certain cash back cards up to this point is a super smart, innovative way to make regular investing a part of more people's lives. Learning to navigate the markets can be intimidating but this couldn't be easier—you invest in companies you're already a customer of without even having to think about it. I also really appreciate the customization options available, including the dollar amount you want to round up on each purchase, weekly/monthly investment limits & pinned stocks you can set up to invest in by default regardless of whether or not you make a purchase with that company that week. Most importantly, Grifin thoughtfully checks that you have 1.5x the amount you would need to clear the transfer out of your bank account in order to prevent overdraft. Since this is an app designed to help you invest/save up money after all, I think that's a nice feature to give users peace of mind about simply setting it up & forgetting it so they can watch their investments add up over time without having to worry about the specifics week to week. Lastly, I think the app itself has a nice UI that's easy to navigate & looks great visually. Well done Grifin—thanks for helping make it easier for us to invest in our futures! 🤑
I’ve been using this app for several years now and I’ve never had any issues. In fact, I am making money buying shares from companies I buy products and services from on a daily basis. Actually Griffin does the work for me, all I do is spend money and they take one dollar ($1) and invest it by purchasing shares of that specific company on my behalf. And that is awesome!!! Griffin provides a super easy way to understand the fluctuations of the stock values (up or down) and which companies are the top performers. You can also buy additional shares by using available cash or by transferring money from any of your linked bank accounts. Also If you need assistance, Griffin customer service team answers you right away via email. At least that’s how I’ve reached out to the them in the past and I have received assistance/solutions right away. I cannot suggest this app enough. I highly recommend it to any age group. It’s never to early to start buying and owning shares. Thank you to the Griffin team for developing this app.
Have a really big problem when an investment platform that is supposed to be set up as a set it and forget it program begins to screw around with your investments. Starting with sometimes pulling out my weekly $5. Skiping that ok, so I didn’t have money pulled from me…oh well I guess. But then the money that was being pulled was just sitting there for what it’s just in an account shouldn’t it be distributed amongst the stocks that I have???? So I jump in the app every 4-5 months when I remember I have it. And notice a $66 funding for cash! What? Who authorized that? So I reach out to them. And I decided to cash out this bank of money that was sitting there. And pause any further funding. And they come back and say it’s their oversight that there was a glitch that didn’t respect the limits people had on account withdrawals. WTH! What if that caused me to overdraft or something. So they funded me with $10. Now when I try to log in and check on how my investments are doing I can’t. There’s an error because I cut off my funding. In order to continue and view my investments I HAVE to allow a bank transfer. So I hit accept and it just keeps kicking me to an error. I think they should issue an email to every member explaining how they should review all transactions for any thing suspicious and contact them immediately since the glitch could have potentially caused bank errors to their entire financial community. Now I need to reach out to someone to see about how to access my portfolio.
