Devs listened to fans to make adjustments

I like the game overall but the Tenkabito invasion is blatantly too hard. Example: very strong invaders get 40% of their health restored per turn unless you take over the 4 branch castles that supply 10% each. The branch castles also have (not as) strong defenders that take 4-7 turns to pacify. Oh, & there’s a 20 turn limit to complete the scenario or start all over. & this is with gold quality generals with gold quality developed gear with higher end level troops. Oh, & it appears these invasions don’t go away until completed which lowers your daily rewards & to top that off, there’s new invasions daily. Why is this mode so difficult? Is maxed out high end generals with maxed out high end gear & maxed out troops required? Is this a blatant cash grab to spend on micro transactions or did you not play test the difficulty first? Tone down the difficulty on this Tenkabito invasion mode & I’ll revise my review Revision: The developers actually listened to complaints!!! They’ve adjusted the difficulty of the Tenkabito invasion mode so now it’s actually beatable. The conquest & campaign modes were already fine. & they continue to add content Good on you devs for listening to fans & making necessary adjustments

Title

Game has so much replay-ability that it’s scary. It’s almost as if easytech took everything good about all of their past games and went; “What if we slammed all those mechanics together and added even more mechanics?” The answer is Great conqueror shogun, a game which you could sink thousands of hours into and still not be able to get 100% through because every time you try some historical event or debuff hits you and you fail to get the perfect score. Aside from its infinite replay ability (so long as you’re creative enough), there’s the text and translations, which honestly need some work, but they’re at least understandable and readable, leaving it as one of the few categories of things that still need some time in the oven. Overall, shogun provides a unique opportunity to live out the dream of fighting under nobunaga, takeda, or Tokugawa, and a unique, new perspective, take, and mechanical function to an era of world history very rarely covered by easytech. My next request is that there be an easytech game covering the time period from right after the new worlds discovery to the end of the Swedish empire in the 1700s, and with a large emphasis on the 30 years war.

Mostly Great, Few Disappointing changes

Overall this game is a lot of fun and I’ve never completed all of the available modes. The variety of challenges in Tenkabito is refreshing and fun and the campaign is fair and rewarding. The main disappointment comes from the conquest mode - which was my favorite mode in the first game. There are 3 major differences that I think hinder the gameplay and turn a fun experience into a bribe simulator. The first issue comes from the lack of available ally vs enemy map overviews. In the first game, it was easy to see the ally countries as blue, enemies as red, and allowed you to plan accordingly how you would best suite your allies. This game instead makes it so you have to zoom and look at the color of their troops and cities which can get annoying on large scale maps. The second issue comes from the lack of a common enemy. Any country you border with that isn’t your ally will immediately lose favor with you and you have to bribe them to prevent having an onslaught of 20 enemy nations. Then if you do become allies, they will request you go to war with half the map and if you don’t (because you’re already allied with who they want to fight), you lose credit and everyone begins to hate you. This leads to massive bribes and unnecessary wars and the end game is a slog of pay - attack - pay - attack. Finally, the last issue is the enemy generals. They spawn generals out of thin air - sometimes up to 10 of the same general in the same match. If I defeat an enemy and they respawn that’s fine, but every 3 turns facing the same general with the same troops is tiring. Thank you for your time in reading this.
