GRE Prep & Practice by Magoosh

The app is OK overall; however, it could be significantly improved with a few UI/UX changes.1. Some of the verbal questions offered definitions for the words, but others do not. It would be great if all such questions defined the vocabulary words in the answer choices.2. I clicked the linked definition of a word which sent me to an Internet dictionary. I then could not return to the app without restarting it, thereby losing my place in the questions. There should be an obvious way to return back to the app from the online dictionary.3. Similar to the above, there is an exit button where there would typically be a back button. Pressing this button will send you back to the main app homepage rather than the previous screen. I think such a button should be in a different location and should have a Home icon rather than an X icon to prevent accidental exits from the study questions.4. I’ve yet to figure out how to review flagged or previously missed questions; I think there might be a filter for it but I think it could be more obvious.5. After hitting submit on a long verbal question, I shouldn’t have to scroll all the way down to see the results. I’ve already read the text at that point, so hiring submit should just load the answers without changing the viewpoint of the text and available answer choices.Regarding content, some of the questions have absurdly long answers. I’m unclear how we’re supposed to answer such questions in any reasonable amount of time.

When I decided to apply for graduate school I absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of material I need to brush up on and some concepts I needed to completely relearn. I looked for different books and resources, some of which did provide some useful information. I realized that my real struggle was with coming up with some type of structure that would help keep me organized as to how I was going to tackle all 3 parts of the exam. I would 100% recommend the Magoosh GRE products!

I have just begun to use Magoosh an so far I find it to be very efficient in helping me learn. I would back after I finish prepping n again after my real scores come in. With a toddler around it’s almost tough for me to find exclusive laptop sittings for preparing for competitive exams. But Magoosh mobile app is proving to be the solution. Their way of organizing the content by splitting it into topics n subtopics helps to get an overall view n make assessment of where u stand. More important it’s succinct n yet explains the concepts thoroughly. The practice tests at the end of each section helps me to assess myself then n there. I am yet to see if they have the practice questions at the end of each section in mobile platform too. But so far mobile app is a lifesaver so that my study progress is not dampened by very limited hrs of laptop only sessions. I love it when my kid plays n I can give him company n yet do my stuff here. Will be updated again. Thanks Magoosh team.
