since March, i made it my nightly ritual to write down a few things iโm grateful for. It improved the way i think and live. i felt myself feeling like i was actually doing things that were meaningful during the day. even something as simple as โi ate really healthy foods todayโ makes your days feel so much more fulfilling! i used a journal for a few months but ran out of space and wanted to buy a new one. Papier had some really pretty designs, although i didnโt fancy spending $30+ on it, so i resorted to this app instead. first of all, i looove the yellow! second, i love how there is a section to see memories to scroll through all of the things youโve written down since using the app. overall, i think itโs a great app so far, and i look forward to using it every day. :)
I was brought here from โPrompted Journal.โ Which I love so much. Iโve already been working on my gratitude but never much in detail or from my emotional side. So when I saw this I thought Iโd have that chance & I do! I really appreciate this company because they donโt just say they care about mental health; they show it. By making the app free. As someone who is disabled and on a fixed-income, this is very important for me. They also have an affordable annual payment for $12. I love how itโs ad-free. The color is great. I mostly use my phone for therapeutic purposes. No social media. So I appreciate how thereโs no pesky ads that can contribute to unhealthy messages. Thank you to the creators ๐
This app is easy to use and I love its simplicity. As a psychologist, I use it for myself and have recommended it to several of my patients. Getting into the habit of hightening our awareness to just notice simple things that make us happy or grateful is a wonderful skill. It is an antidote to negativity which can become so habitual. This simple little exercise can do wonders to begin to shift oneโs thinking. With enough practice, it can lift depression and help with anxiety. The more we look around us for things that make us feel good, happy or grateful, the more of these things we will take in. This is a win-win exercise. Thanks to its creators! P.S. Please donโt make this complicated because the simpler it is the easier it is to do and the chances that it will become a natural daily practice are increased. Anne R. Tavel, Ph.D.
