GolfNow Book TeeTimes Golf GPS

I’ve just deleted the GolfNow App. I’ve been using it for over a year now. Functionally, the app works great. The aggregation of area golf courses was a useful tool. However, last week I accidentally booked a tee time for the next day when my nephew and I intended to play that day. We arrived at the golf course around 45 minutes before the tee time but immediately I realized my mistake when I went to check in. The course was able to get us a same day tee time and we happily played. I immediately went to the GolfNow app and cancelled the mistaken tee time. They still charged me. I called customer service today and they informed me that I had cancelled 23 hours and 27 minutes prior to my tee time therefore breaching their 24 hour cancellation policy. I politely informed the customer service rep that if she didn’t find some way to make an exception and refund me the $100 for a mistaken booking that I had cancelled in good faith as soon as I realized the mistake, that I would never use their service again. I also informed her that I’m a daily golfer. She made the decision for her company that she’d rather lose them a few thousand dollars rather than refund me $100. If GolfNow refunds me that money, I’ll happily renew my use of their service but I won’t support a company with such lack of empathy and unbudging adherence to strict policy. There’s ALWAYS a way to make an exception. In this case, they decided not to.

Thank you to the person who came up with this idea . I’ve never been able to afford to play such a great game more than once or twice a year being that it’s so Expensive to play and not having the most money to be able to play as much as I want and that would be every day twice a day now I can play at least once a month or once a week like in the beginning but for some reason it went from having to pay 10$ to only get 12 to 15 off a 65$ deal so not really helping atm not having a job and not having money like I should from what I’ve learned in my crazy life story , like who knew that having REAL PROPERTY is kinda a big deal thanks everyone who is close to me but I’m not here to talk about not being able to play the game I love but to endorse this awesome thing . Great concept, app works most of the time. But the customer service is terrible and borderline scam like. 3 TIMES I booked through Golf Now only to get to the course to find it I booked an UNAVAILABLE (taken) tee time and had to head home. But guess who didn’t get back the booking fee? THIS GUY. I called and complained but to my surprise no one was ready to refund me for my IMAGINARY Tee Time. I figured okay whatever I book with them all the time. What’s $30 dollars. But the last stroke occurred recently when attempting to book a tee time on the app. I chose the time, selected FOUR PLAYERS, and tried to pay but was hit with the “Tee time is unavailable”. So like the golf addict I am I went ahead and tried to book the next available time, which went through and I got through to the conformation screen. Nice! A few days after playing THAT round Gold Now emails me saying I was a “No Show” and charged me for the FULL ROUND! Nearly $250 for a round I never played. SWEEEET. I tried to reach out to them, but now it’s such a pain- only available through online chat. They sent me in circles. I ended up speaking with the course who urged me to never book through them and that they get complaints ALL THE TIME! I’m not a scammer, I was glad to pay the course the tee time fee and carts for playing, but being charged AGAIN by Golf Now is a JOKE. Like I said the concept is nice and interface is convenient, but god forbid you have an issue- you’ll be left in the rough. Do yourself a favor and book through the actual golf course. They are more understanding and guess what- it’s FREE.
