Fuel and Deals

The app has had a recent upgrade, the new layout has made the screen more congested and less easy to read, the original format was much better. Tonight the app failed to load any service stations but for the first time in weeks my screen wasn’t congested. I am an racq member, and have been since 1984, and I have been discontented with its service and prices. I have never made an insurance claim on my house, I have used the emergency service twice, and have been a rating one driver for many years, yet my premiums continue to soar, tonight I looked for a new fuel app, tomorrow new insurance, and service, either by phone or going in store, minimum wait time is over 30 minutes. racq, you disappoint

This app functions ok, however there are some needed improvements… 1. More accurate and timely updates on fuel prices (although it literally saved me about $15 on a 35L fill the other day) 2. Better compatibility with dark mode in iOS … some of the app elements are extremely difficult/impossible to read 3. PLEASE allow adding ones fuel card to Apple Wallet! This would save so much time and discourage needing to order a new card when moving from bronze to silver membership etc!

Hi RACQ Fair Fuel team, I love using your app, but what’s preventing me from giving a 5 star is the inaccurate fuel station info provided by the app. For example, in Brisbane, if you simply Google Coles Express Durack or Coles Express Eight Mile Plains, you will see that both servos are permanently closed, and it’s indeed the case as I have found out the hard way by actually driving there only to find that the servos are no longer Coles Express branded. This is quite disappointing as I intended to use my Coles dockets and other applicable discounts. It really pays to revise your data gathering method to improve the accuracy of the information provided. At the end of the day, given that the RACQ headquarters is actually located no far away from the two servos mentioned above, it is a pity that the app still doesn’t fetch the right information.
