While it’s in French, it does give news as it happens. For difficult to understand verbiage, it would be convenient if the stories could be copied and pasted into a translation app, but this seems only possible when there’s a link in the article to the original source of the news, such as France Bleu. Still, it’s a worthwhile app.

As a French expatriate living between London, NY and Tokyo I really do appreciate getting my daily dose of French news (especially France 2 JT in replay) via this very well designed app. The New France Info radio player with Hi-Fi cristal clear audio quality, and the versatility of the reading features is perfect. The new design makes this app one of the best for newscasting. If you want to get the JT news live you can log through a VPN with a French server, otherwise it is available 1-2hrs later in replay.

I love this app! The news is often ahead of local US agencies. It keeps me up-to-date on French and international stories that the US news often miss. And I can watch or listen to many stories in French! The only negative is I must use a VPN to watch some videos blocked by international usage agreements.
