I only downloaded this app today, but I’m sold on it already. With custom workout logging, thousands of exercises, tons of workouts, comprehensive plans, meal guides, and top-notch calorie input, and more, this app is truly an all-in-one jackpot. I look forward to logging my progress and reviewing insights all in one place. I was considering paying higher, separate subscriptions for three other apps that did what this one app is able to do! And the subscription cost for this one is cheaper than any of the others! There are a few features that I would love to see added like widgets, exercise swapping, and custom HIIT / duration based workouts. I have experienced a few glitches while diving into the app, and I got immediate response & resolution from their support team. I am going to continue with the 3 day trial, and as long as the app continues to run smoothly I’m sure I will be purchasing the full version!
I’ve used a few apps free and paid. I purchased the premium version and am not disappointed. The app is an efficient resource. I don’t boast to know my way around a gym, I have used personal trainers. When it comes to working out on my own I need a regimen and guidance I can’t just pick up and have at it like I see other people do at the gym, They seem to intuitively know that it’s arm day or shoulder day and just start picking up the weights doing several different curls etc. I don’t always know which routines work best in the circuit or which body parts I’m hitting or which exercises to do in a program. This app takes the guesswork out of it and helps me not look like an idiot. I can stay on track, I don’t jump around or get lost and I can log notes and weight, such as: “failed on the fifth rep”, “no tempo”, “3 count going down”... The preset routines I’ve showed trainers and they were all impressed. I like the muscle group specific workouts on here such as big arm day etc. that would work very well if you can dedicate doing 5/6 days a week focusing on specific body parts. I’m a 4x week avg trying to hit 2 upper and 2 lower or 2 upper 1 lower, 1 core per week. In that case the preset routines were best. The only changes I would make to the app are technical. Having the app on working out it will frequently be pocket tapped and stop a routine. It is easy to merge workouts but it is not easy to edit current work out hopefully they will find a way to better customize certain workouts and edits as well as edit your workout history or time.
Had the app on another phone awhile back. I was almost 350 lbs and pre diabetic, high blood pressure, the whole gambit. Tried a few other apps but this one resonated with me, had workouts I could do at home and with minimal equipment. I started with the beginner routines and eventually worked my way up. Don’t try to start too fast, go slow, like a day working out then a couple off. But stay consistent and your energy level will rise, mine did. I started doing workouts every other day and began to pick and choose parts of different workout routines to make my own program. It was awesome. One of the aspects I liked most was for every exercise that was being done, there was an alternative to it in case you weren’t at the gym or had that specific equipment. I didn’t even weigh myself the first 6 months but knew I’d lost some and firmed up. Doc said I’d lost 78 lbs in 4 months which just spurred me on lol. I eventually lost 166 lbs over about 15 months. I felt great and was on nothing except vitamins and supplements. No blood pressure meds, no diabetic stuff nothing. This is it right here, everything you need to do whatever you want with your body. The knowledge is in this app. All you’ve got to do is motivate yourself.
