The fit bod app at the beginning when I started like 5 months ago was seemingly out of date, through this past 5 months I’ve seen great improvements to the ai generating my workouts. The only thing that could make this app better is more personalization ability for the user like simple small things for the user to feel that this app is a customized and tailored for the user. That could encompass the users ability to change the color of the background, seasonal theming, or even something as small as changing the sound of the alarms the app tells you to move on to the next set. A problem I face using the app is once the work out is started you are not allowed to navigate the rest of the very limited app unless you end your work out, and then navigating the homed page you see your list of work outs / body composition / goals / and logged works. There should be a tab or something to locate your personal records with out having to individually look all of them up. Lastly the forcefully promoting your app when your trying to just show friends and family your workouts via the share button needs to be stopped just promote your app on the photo card itself don’t type out a long promotional ad at the bottom of the text box. Over all this app has helped me big time to get closer and closer to my fitness goals and will be renewing my yearly subscription again(which is like 200$ cheaper than a real personal trainer)!!!!!!
I love using this app for my strength training. The developer did a great job making it user friendly, customizable, and effective. It gives me way more customization options than any of the other apps I have found, and I have tried a lot. You can get your profile to beginner, intermediate or advanced, and you set your goal of toning, building, etc. You can then customize almost everything….workout time, muscle recovery %, gym equipment you have, exercise you can’t do or want to exclude from workouts, you can swap exercise within the workout for a new one, and the list goes on. The app also provides you with a short video demonstration of each exercise when you click on the exercise within the workout. It is nice to have in case you need a short demo or reminder, but it doesn’t get in the way if you are a more experienced lifter and don’t need it. The app will give you weight and rep recommendations based on your profile settings, but you can change them within workout if they are too hard or easy during the workout. And, it automatically updates the reminding reps in the set when you make a change which is nice. I really can’t say enough about this app. I am not new to working out, and have worked out regularly for many years. However, in my opinion this app would be good for someone who knows proper form but hasn’t lifted for awhile or someone more advanced that is just looking for an app to make sure they are getting a well rounded strength workout.
I have been working out on and off since high school (30 plus years). However, finding the consistency and motivation has been challenging. I have read countless articles about different weight lifting plans and have tried / failed at most of them. Fitbod, however, changed all of that. When it comes to using this app, I never have to think about what exercises I should do because it does the work for me. You are able to pick workout types based on preference. For example, push/pull, upset body/lower body, full body, etc. each exercise is also explained and demonstrated to cover different learning styles, visual, kinetic, etc. the app keep track of what you did in the last workout and applies weight suggestions which can always be Chandra up or down depending on how you are filling. There is also a countdown between sets and finished workouts can be posted to different social media sites, Strava for example. Yes, this site does make suggestions to share the app with others, to post personal records, etc., in an attempt to attract more users. But, it’s simple as hitting the X or saying no if that’s not your cup of tea. All in all, for what you get, the paid version is worth it to mr and, after my year subscription is up in the next few weeks, I will be re-upping for another year. You can tell they put a lot of thought into this app and this is my jam for sure. Consider giving it a try. Be a better you like I am becoming a better me!
