i love filterloop and i hate to write this review. i’ve used this app for SO MANY projects, and it worked like a charm…until one fateful day back in the day there were two filterloop apps: a free and a paid version. i bought the paid version and also bought all of the in-app content on top of that because i loved it so much…i’ve used it since 2016 or 2017 i believe. but just a few days ago, it was uninstalled from my phone because the app was taken off of the app store. i couldn’t believe it! so i went and searched for it…and i found that the free version is still available, but if you want the full version, you have to pay $5 a month. i don’t have $5 a month for this…i don’t make any money off my art, this is all just for fun. but i bought the app, i paid for it with my own money…and they just took it away. it’s like if i bought a TV and someone came and took my TV because it was outdated i’m extremely disappointed and dissatisfied, and i’m working on trying to either reinstall the original app i already paid for or finding a completely new app instead because this is just wrong. i love you filterloop and i will miss you dearly if i can’t get you back :( <3
I love this app!! I can’t get over how much more quality it gives my regular photos!! I would recommend this to all of my friends!! On top of that, it’s simply fun to use!! Everybody was asking how do you do that stuff on your photos?? I had to tell them, it’s called Filterloop!! They couldn’t wait to download the app, so they could try it out for themselves!! I started out just thinking I wouldn’t subscribe, UNTIL I realized how much fun it was to play with!! I’m more than happy I decided to subscribe to the app, now I just don’t know what I’d do without this app, I use it for all of my photos
I loved this app when I first downloaded it. Had great light, dust, and lens flare texture overlays that made it super fast & easy to create "retro-looking" photos. With the recent update, there are suddenly ads everywhere! I understand this is the free version, so banner ads are understandable; but 5+ second pop ups for tacky flash games that I can't click out of that occur multiple times within the span of a minute? Also really disappointing they made it so you now can't not download your image with the "Filterloop" logo on it - used to be optional, now you have to pay premium to remove it. Or just take it into Photoshop. At that point, you might as well do all your editing in Photoshop. Now that I can't just quickly edit a photo in a couple minutes, it makes me second guess keeping this app around.
