Field Agent

I’ve been using Field Agent for eight or so years. Over the past year especially, there’s a lot more work expected per job and the pay per job has barely increased to match the demand for more pictures. For example, it used to be $3 to take pictures of the entire pasta/sauce aisle plus end caps. 15 minutes time. Now, they’re offering $5 per job to take pictures of that, plus cookies, crackers, juice, air filters, lip products…you’re all over the store, waiting for people and U-boats to move, 30-40 min later you’ve earned $5. It’s less than $10 an hour and you’re using gas to get there. Multi display audits used to pay $7.50+ and now they have dropped to $6. The time it takes to do the job hasn’t changed, but the pay has decreased. I used to be able to make $80 in four hours if the logistics were on my side, and jobs now take much longer due to the added categories within a job. I have not been doing much at all lately because it’s just not worth my time or fuel. If I was between jobs, money is money. But, I think there is some level of taking advantage of those who are in dire need of money. Field Agent is legitimate, audits are screened pretty quickly, you get paid quickly, but overall they are now expecting way more for less pay. I would challenge anybody doing it as just extra income to weigh how much actual time and fuel is being expended and if the rate of return is worth it. For me, it hasn’t been.

I like to do audits for Field Agent. It’s kind of cool being in a position to oversee a stores compliance with certain companies product displays. My first experience with the app went like this: I was on my way home from a meeting and I checked my app and noticed that there was a store like a quarter mile down the street on the way home so I said let’s try this out. I went into the store and I had to look for battery displays it was a little confusing at first figuring out exactly how they wanted me to do things but after the first few sets of pictures I sort of got the hang of it they just want you to have a clear pic of the displays with some surrounding area so they can tell where it is. It’s really simple and I was worried about how long it would take to get paid but I just checked and like three hours after the job I was paid. Thanks field agent. Oh also I kinda got a little too into it. I felt like a secret agent because some stores where I’m from will kick u out if ur filming like certain liquor stores. So it was fun to try and blend in and not get caught haha

This app used to be solid. But over the years, being very critical on submitted jobs has turned into straight conning people to give info they may or may not pay you for. Ive now gotten used to spending up to 1/2 hour and going out of my way for a good job that could pay $13 only to be given a completely bogus reason for rejection. They have Walmart Customer service jobs, secret shops. They claim they have every Walmart associates name on file (across the country); I only record factual names of real people on these jobs. And yet denied with a claim i gave unverified names. People - Walmart is not in a direct relationship on this level with any secret shop company, including faaaar more reputable ones than FA, so this is just a way to deny a job based on complete BS. Walmart is NOT giving them this supposed info. Or you may work on a lengthy job only to have the app stall and crash until they say someone else grabs the job and youre out of your money, gas and time. And you can appeal and appeal and they simply wont care. Or they'll say you missed this or that details in a pic. No, I did not. And this is now common, along with ridiculously paid jobs asking to secret shop $10,000 home systems, for a whole $3. Its an insulting company on many levels and had been going contiuially down this spiraling path. I just simply wont do anything for them anymore, they have wasted too much of my time and money, patience and been insulted along the way. This company should really fold up, its integrity is gone
