I’ve been grandfathered into the pro system. I’ve been using it for a little over one year and app continues to improve. I find it quite useful and have had success with the hot spots about 70% of the time. It’s a good company and their customer support is extremely responsive. While new users may have to pay, I believe the service is worth it if you need help finding the best places to stage as a driver.
I really like this app, but since I started using it, I’ve incurred $45 in over data limit charges. It ate through a gig of data in 2 days just being open in the background! I’ve never even come close to my daya limit as a driver before. Do not open this app unless you are connected to wi-fi and do not leave it open when you drive because otherwise it will cost you money not help you make it. There should be a warning about this on the app.
I heard about this app on the rideshare guy app. He explained a little bit about how it worked and that drivers had some good experiences with it. I downloaded it at about 8 Friday night. It found three locations for me right away. I drove to the first on and was prepared to wait out the recommended 15 minutes. I got a Lyft ping the moment I parked! The ride just kept coming. I used it for almost every ride I took. If I had to wait, I was usually no longer than 5 minutes. The longed I had to wait was 10. I don’t know what voodoo you guys are doing over there but keep it up. I didn’t believe this was going to work very well. One last story. I decided to use it for just one more ride be for I went home. I went to the location just 3 minutes away and got an instant ping. It was a couple of guys who had a flat. They got in the car and I started the ride. My jaw almost dropped! The ride was 65 miles away and took an hour and 9 minutes! I hope this isn’t a fluke. I’m going to try it again next weekend. I’m still in a little shock. Now I have to drive the hour back. So glad I have a hybrid!”
