Family Organizer - Calendar

My teenager kept begging for me to stop using my planner calendar (printed book) and move to a digital calendar so we could all access it at any time. I still like my hard copy planner and I just don’t like how Google calendar works and can’t get behind it for anything other than work appointments. So she found this app for us. I like it! It’s very ascetically pleasing! It’s great how we can “assign” a family member (or more than one) to the event. I do wish there was a “private” option so that all my stuff that the family doesn’t care about doesn’t have to be shown on their calendars. Same with the checklists and To Do Lists… I would like an option to have a “private” list that is not shared. I just don’t like clogging up everyone else’s calendars with my individual list. Otherwise, everything works great. We have no issues with anything. Love the simplicity and the sharing! I don’t think I’ll ditch my paper calendar yet, but it is very helpful for my teen to be able to pull everything up and know when her doctor appointments are in a few minutes. Keep it up!

I’ve been using this app for a few years now. It’s had glitches here and there but the support team always responded to my emails and helped fix things. Not anymore :-/ another user posted in January the problems I’m having now. It started crashing on me a lot in April, emailed and no response. This week my husband and I realized our calendars weren’t actually syncing and showing us the same stuff, even though it said it was syncing. We tried re-syncing, didn’t fix. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Now it won’t sign into our existing calendar, even though we choose that option, and it gets stuck trying to sync. It’s extremely frustrating as ALL of my family’s calendaring went into this app and now it appears my entire summer will have to be recalendared in a new app. I still haven’t heard back from my most recent email and I’m hoping this review will get me a response somewhere but seeing as this problem happened to someone else months ago, I’m not expecting much. Very sad as looking through other apps I haven’t found one that meets the same needs as this one, but even if this particular issue is fixed it seems that this app is no longer getting the same kind of attention and updates as it once did.

*edit* it seems there is a glitch with repeated events. I create them and the first instance shows fine with the correct time (for example 7 pm), but all the repeats show at midnight. This is especially annoying when I have a reminder set and it goes off just as I'm drifting off to sleep. I don't write a lot of app reviews, but I love this app. I don't have a family to keep track of, but I set up a profile each for my personal events, photography business appointments and fire department/EMS on call and teaching schedule. It is perfect. The individual profile pictures allow me to easily see which job is going to take up the majority of my day. The to-do lists are easy to read and simple to use and being able to set customized recurring events is essential (for example I am on call every 3rd weekend. I can set it in my schedule and it's always there, every 3 weeks). The weather feature is great as a photographer who relies on it for my sessions. There are a lot of great little features without being overbearing or cumbersome. It's still fun, lightweight and easy to use. The only thing I would love to see (and it's only because they allow it in the journal section) is the ability to add pictures to events or sticky notes. The journal feature is fun and allows photos, but can't be used for future dates. For example if I have an idea for a photo session I want to remember or a hair style I want to show my stylist at my next appointment, I'd love to attach a photo right to the reminder so I don't forget about that either. Other than that, it's perfect. The design is intuitive and very pretty and overall fun to use. Whether you have a family full of schedules to keep up with or multiple jobs/ volunteer activities, this app is just the ticket for staying organized.
